Kendall's 13th Birthday Surprise!
I can't think of a better way to celebrate 13 than with a surprise trip to Disney/Universal with mom and no one else!! Kendall was thrilled with this surprise gift! She has wanted to go to Disney for a long time, but it was even more special that only she got to go and experience it the way she wanted to!! This was her very first time flying, so she was pumped about that! We flew to Orlando from Nashville and took a sketchy Uber to our hotel (which was a little shady as well). We were exhausted and starving so ate at the BBQ place next door to the hotel. We ordered so much food and could only eat 1/4 of it! The next day, we went to Universal and did both parks all day long. It was a day jammed park full of fun, but with lots of waiting. It was hot, but we survived it. The Harry Potter parts of universal were awesome! We also enjoyed the roller coasters!! Kendall and I are both coaster junkies so the bigger, the better! We shut the park down which meant that we missed our shuttle by 3 minutes!! Thankfully, my cousin Kimby came to the rescue and picked us up. We took a trip to Walmart at midnight and she stayed the night with us. The next morning, we loaded up and went to Hollywood studios for the morning. Kimby was able to stay for a short time and then she had to work, so Kendall and I rode all the best rides. She loved Rockin roller coaster and tower of terror. The star wars ride was amazing as well! We even enjoyed slinky dog! We then rode the sky tram over to Epcot where we celebrated Kendall's actual birthday at the Steakhouse in Canada. She chose the meal and she ate every bit of her filet! We rode a few rides, then watched the light show which was amazing. Kimby came to meet us for the light show and then stayed the night again. We went to Magic Kingdom the next day and spent most of the day there. We did hop over to Animal Kingdom and got caught in a summer rain storm for a bit. We stayed dry and filled our bellies at the Rainforest Cafe! We then rode several things at Animal Kingdom, including the water ride twice! We got soaking wet but it was so fun, especially with Kimby! The flight of passage was so cool but I did get off feeling a bit queasy. Kendall rode Everest twice! She loved it! We then headed back to Magic Kingdom to see the castle light show for the 50th anniversary. It was so good! We finished the night off with Kendall and Kimby riding Splash Mountain, getting soaked again! We walked over 30 miles and 60,000 steps in those few days. We were absolutely exhausted but the memories we made were one of a kind! I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked to, but we were busy riding rides and making memories! I'm so thankful I got to spend some one on one time with my "TEENAGER"!
