We've had a super fun and busy Christmas season! The first thing we did was go see Santa Claus at the mall. Kendall and Kathryn did great, but silly little Sam was acting shy for about the first 5 minutes we were there. He finally warmed up and went and sat by Santa for the picture. We then met the Brands at the mexican restaurant for dinner!
This year, they brought back the Gingerbread House event. We were excited about it, since it was 2012 when they last held the event. The kids had so much fun (I think daddy had as much fun as they did). Kathryn and I observed and socialized with everyone else! It was a fun Christmas activity, and we hope it becomes a tradition!!
Kendall had to make a school project as a turkey disguise. She decided to do an Elsa Turkey. It was so cute and she was so proud!
What else do you do on a warm Sunday morning when you skip church?? Well, the kids get creative and set up a "garage sale". Chet and I were busy inside and they wanted to play outside. So we let them do whatever they wanted and this is what we came out to see... a makeshift garage sale complete with toys, signs, and a money bank! It was so funny so Kathryn and I had to pretend we were shopping and buy some things. I love how creative they can be sometimes!
I can't believe this little sweet pea is sitting up while propped on her hands. It won't be long and she will be sitting up unassisted!
Sam's class put on a singing program for the hospital employees. They were precious!! Sam's favorite song to sing was "We wish you a Merry Christmas". He did good, but he got distracted playing with his sleeve during the program. He was still so cute, though!
This is the cutest little elf I've ever seen!
Ho, Ho, Ho...is that Santa Claus?
Kendall looking cute on a saturday morning!
Kendall and Kathryn were "twins" on Sunday morning. They were dressed alike in their snowman dresses and pink bows! They looked adorable!
I made 2 huge batches of Christmas trash. It was absolutely delicious! I think this will become a tradition for us!!
I got a wild hair this year to paint some blocks of wood, so I bought some paint and got to work. I painted angels, manger scenes, and Mississippi houses. It was so much fun to do and I was super proud of the way they turned out! I gave lots of homemade gifts this year, but I think it made it more special that it had been made by me with LOVE!
