Life with a New Baby!

So, life with a new baby...it has been busy, but that is to be expected. She's the easiest part of the whole equation! Luckily, she sleeps good, eats good, and is just easy going. It's the other 2 kiddos that are a bit time-consuming, but we still love them anyway! :)
Thankfully, Mimi was here for about the first 10 days to help out, and Chet has been amazing with helping with the big kids so that I can take care of baby Kathryn. We took Kathryn for her 5 day check up and she had not lost any more weight since we left the hospital (7 lb 9 oz), and we were so proud for that. She's getting good feedings and maintaining her weight. I've had a few bumps in the road with post delivery issues and nursing issues, but we are working through all of that!
She is sleeping so good! I've been having to wake her up at night because she is sleeping longer than they recommend. Sometimes, she has slept 5 hours at night at just a few days old!! I'm actually getting more sleep now that I did my last 2 months of pregnancy! I feel rested and good, thankfully! Kendall and Sam have gone to daycare a few days a week to give me some time to bond with Kathryn. That has helped to keep them occupied and busy so they aren't bored. Thankfully, some of our sweet friends have helped with the kids too, and daddy has been taking them swimming a good bit.
We are adjusting well to our new addition, and we are so blessed with our precious little family! Here are some pictures from our last few weeks.

Daddy giving Kathryn her first bottle at 5 days old.

We attempted a mini photo session with the kids in their new shirts. Sam is so silly these days that it was hit or miss with his facial expressions. He has really come into his "self" these days and I think we may be experiencing the terrible 3's along with new baby adjustment. He's still as cute as ever, but he's really testing his boundaries these days. I had to bribe him to put the shirt and shorts on! He's become VERY opinionated about his clothes! Who would've ever thought a boy would care about matching?!?

We gave Kathryn her first "tub" bath at 7 days old after her umbilical stump fell off. She didn't quite know what to think about the tub. She fussed a bit, but she was more upset once we got out! She is now loving her baths, and it's one of her happiest times of the evening!

Kathryn fell asleep on my bed with her feet propped up and her hands above her head. It was so cute!

Love that sweet foot!

Just hanging with daddy!

Big sister getting to feed her a bottle. She was SO excited to be helping out! She's been a good helper with holding her and taking care of her!

She found her thumb for just a few minutes... I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!

Big brother holding baby sister. He loves to hold for only a few seconds and then he's done!

Exhausted family...

Daddy and his girls!

Sam finally gave it up! He's been refusing to take a nap and it becomes more of a fight that's not worth it. So he decided to watch TV on the couch and this is what happened. He looks so angelic when he sleeps!

Sweet sister loves to sleep on her belly!!

She also likes to rest in the boppy. She falls asleep pretty much anywhere you put her!

We love this wild hair curl!

This precious angel...big eyes and so beautiful

Sweet dreams, baby girl!

My 3 little loves enjoying the park!

Once again, this crew is exhausted!

We had newborn pictures done of Kathryn at 10 days old. This was the sneak peek she posted and I fell in LOVE with it! Kathryn did so good and we got some precious photos!!

This little angel is starting to smile--3 week old here!
