Thankful for this crazy crew!

We tried really hard to get some good pictures for a Christmas card, but I swear, these crazy kiddos make that almost impossible! But I love them dearly and I can't imagine life without them! They make life fun and exhausting and joyful! Out of about 96 pictures, we got a few that really show what life is really like! LOL!

Abraham Ailments!

Okay, so you remember how I said earlier that we needed to get helmets and face masks for the kids? Well, apparently we need gloves as well! Sam was bitten by the cat on his finger but didn't make a big deal about it for 2-3 days. When he finally started complaining about it, it was looking discolored, swollen, hot and super infected. Luckily, our sweet Dr Berry (who is an ENT) saw us at church and called him in some antibiotics. We even had Kiley come take a look as well. After several days, it wasn't getting much better so we saw Dr. Marks (ortho) and he actually did a digital block on his finger in the office and opened it up to drain any infection. I can't tell you how PROUD I was of my Sam. He was SO big and brave during the procedure! He handled it better than most adults! We had to do wet-to-dry dressings for 7 days before it finally started to look better. I actually thought his finger tip was going to fall off before it got better! We are so thankful for sweet friends (who happened to be dr.'s) that helped us through it all!

Initial complaint

Bless his heart...he was worn out after his procedure! He got blue coban!

Here it is after it was cut open.

Healing process!

So, all the kids woke up one day with pink eye and Kathryn had fever. So off to the dr. we went for eye drops and school excuses. Poor Kendall...her eye was swollen and matted shut when she woke up
and we finally got it open. The kids were wild and crazy at the dr office. I know they were glad to see us go home!

Kathryn was laying out in the floor and rolling all on the ground!

They were being loud and playing games. All the folks in the waiting room were glad to see us go!

Happy Halloween!

The Saturday before Halloween, Chet's work hosted a dress-up Halloween Party for all the dr's and staff. Chet and I borrowed costumes from the Brands and we went as Mr and Mrs Potato Head. We had a great time, especially watching all of the other co-workers and how they were dressed. We didn't win best costume, but we were probably the most comfortably dressed!!

On Halloween, we had our annual trick or treating fun with the Shafers and the Leddys,  and then we finished up the evening having pizza and chili at Mrs. Sissy's house. It's always a fun tradition that we look forward to each year. The kids dressed up as The Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, and Iron Man! The weather was perfect (not too hot--not too cold--no rain)! The only problem we had was TOO much chocolate!!

Fall Fun!

Here are some snapshots over the last few months!

Mommy, Daddy, and Kathryn had date night at KOK while the big kids went to Kids night out at health works!

Kendall caught a big fish at the pond! Daddy bought her and Sam some new fishing poles and they've been super excited about fishing!

We had some amazing cooler temperatures one afternoon so we loaded up after school and went to the park to play! It was super fun and the weather was fantastic! We ate snacks, fed the ducks, and played on the playground!

So here is a picture of me as a baby and Kathryn...I definitely see some similarities!

Kathryn dressed herself in Kendall's headband and put lipstick on. It was so funny!

In September, we headed out to the Touch-a-truck festivities at Ballard Park. It was fun as always and the weather was nice! The kids loved all of the big trucks and loud sirens, but their favorite was the big dirt pile!!

The Tupelo School District hosted a community wide tailgate at the high school one friday night. All of the schools participated. I took the kids out to enjoy the fun! We ran into lots of folks that we know, even some of the teachers Kendall's had in the past. Everyone had a great time!

Miss Lambert and her girls!

Mrs. Bowdry and the girls!

Haley came into town and called me to meet up to visit and hang out! It was so fun to catch up with her!

Lawhon had a Disney Raffle Fundraiser in October. It was a lot of fun the day of the drawing! The Mayor even came to do the drawing for us! Kendall, George, and Morgan were the top sellers and each received prizes (Toys R Us GC). Unfortunately, we didn't win the raffle!

Kendall and Mayor Jason Shelton

Tupelo HS had it's HC parade and the kids from each school were allowed to walk in the parade. It was wild and crazy, but fun!

Love these 2 sisters!

Kathryn getting some love and back-rubbing from Mimi!

Daddy and his 3 stooges!

Kendall looked cute in her happy meal toy!

Each year, the Orchard puts on an outdoor church service and fall festival the last Sunday of the month. It was really cold that morning so the kids stayed home with Mimi while we went to the service. It ended up being a beautiful day!

After lunch, Mimi and I took the big kids to the festival to play and have fun, while Chet stayed home with Kathryn as she napped. We ate popcorn, cotton candy, and lots of other junk!

These crazy kids got some stick on mustaches from Uncle Mark and Aunt Jessie. They were so funny!
