Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day weekend was spent in Clarksdale having a work weekend at Mimi's house! Chet and Mark got Mimi's fence built in her back yard and finished her bathroom! We were excited to get 2 projects completed! We cooked and ate at Karen's house on Sunday (mother's day) and enjoyed some good family time! We are so thankful for the mothers in our lives and they way that they have shaped us and influenced us!

Great Wolf Lodge Vacation

This year, Mimi and I took the kids to Grapevine, Texas to the Great Wolf Lodge. Daddy was away on a week long golf trip, and I had an Advocare meeting in Dallas, so we thought this was the perfect opportunity to have a little vacation trip as well! The kids had a blast!! The GWL is an indoor water park with a wave pool, slides, hot tubs, splash pad, etc. They also have tons of kid activities, such as an arcade, story time, games, and lots of other things to spend your money on! Needless to say, the kids had a blast and can't wait to go back. I actually hiked the steps several times with Kendall to ride the big tube slides. I was 30 weeks pregnant, and people looked at me like I was crazy, but we had so much fun on the slides! Even Sam got brave and rode the smaller slides! I hope that one day we can go back and bring daddy along!!

Here are these 2 precious kiddos loving the kiddie area!

Finally a pic with Mimi--this was after a very long day of swimming and everyone was exhausted!!

They loved going to story time at the Clubhouse!

Easter 2015

We spent Easter weekend here in Tupelo. We went to the church Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, where the kids had a ball with all of the activities. My camera was messed up so I didn't have any pictures from that. Then on Easter Sunday, we went to church and lunch and came home to enjoy the afternoon with the new fishing poles that the Easter bunny had brought the kids! It was such a great weekend with just our family. We were able to really talk with the kids about why we celebrate Easter and the risen Christ! We are so thankful for our freedom in Christ!

Gifts from the bunny!

One minute they love each other, and the next minute they are fussing like cats and dogs! Typical sibling love!

Sam showing off his bubbles!

Easter Sunday actually fell on April 5, which was Kendall's anniversary of her Infant Baptism at church. We got out her candle, lit it and told her the story of her Baptism and the meaning of it all. We watched her video of her baptism as well. It was a special night because this is the first time I think she was old enough to understand God's love for her--and how great it was that it fell on Easter Sunday which makes it even more significant! We will continue to tell her the story each year until she can come to the decision herself to accept Christ as her Lord and Savior! What a special moment and responsibility that we have as parents!!

The SNOW is finally here!!

Well, it finally happened...SNOW! And this time, it wasn't a false alarm! We have had so many days where the weather would say "snow", and we would get a few snow flurries, but on Feb. 25, it SNOWED and snowed and snowed. I believe we got about 8-9 inches! Of course, the problem with that much snow is that it only does it about every 5 years, so the kids had outgrown any snow clothes we had! However, we pieced together some outfits and went out and enjoyed the snow! Sam was not a happy camper about all of the "snow gear" we made him wear. And he wasn't too thrilled about out in it either, but Kendall helped him warm up to playing in it and then he was okay! We realized quickly that the kids would need to be a little older to take them snow skiing! :)

Kendall playing in the snow!

What a great big sis--comforting brother because he was scared of the snow!

Sam wasn't sure what to think about all of this!

Daddy's here now...got a smile from him!

Kendall was in heaven with the snow!

"This is SNOW much fun!"

The finished product...I'm not sure he looks like Olaf, but it was fun while they built it!

Such a sweet picture of sibling love!

Family picture--we were freezing!

Our power went out later in the afternoon, so we went to the Brand's to spend the evening. Kendall ended up spending the night over there while the rest of us came home to sleep. The next day, we went back to the Brand's for a little snow fun and play! Mr. Caleb had built the kids a huge snowman in the yard. We then loaded up and went "redneck snow tubing" behind the 4-wheeler. It was fun and the kids enjoyed it so much! The snow was beginning to melt, though and it was getting messy and muddy. After 2 days of it, I was ready for dry weather and sunshine, but it was fun while it lasted!

Cool dude Sam!

Lots of pictures of our redneck snow-tubing!

The sun was shining bright! Cool breeze wearing daddy's glasses!
