Summer Days are So Fun!

Summer is one of my most favorite times of the year...it is always full of activities and outdoor fun. Kendall atteneded Camp Kanukuk this year for the very first time. She went with Morgan Mathis and Caroline Kahlstorf and she had so much fun! Along with all of the fun activities they do, they learn about Jesus and that is the most important aspect of the camp. It was in Branson, MO which was a beautiful location for the camp. I also got to enjoy my girls weekend at Moon Lake again this year. It always falls right around my birthday weekend, so we celebrated at Kathryn's restaurant on Friday night, along with fun in the sun and on the boat on Saturday! We laughed and giggled so much...it is just good for the soul! Sam enjoyed going to the Ole Miss baseball camp with some of the boys from the team for a week. They learned a lot and had a great time with the "famous rebel players". We spent lots of time at the pool, playing outdoors with cousins and friends, and fishing each day at the lake. Kat and Sam caught several fish, and they even learned to bait their own hooks! We spent a lot of time playing with Scout and letting him run out some energy. The kids are enjoying having him around (mom and dad not so much!!)... Our sweet little neighbor Mrs Sue passed away in May. She was so sweet to the kids, almost like an adopted grandparent! She loved them so much. I had to include a picture of her with Sam and Kendall from several years ago since we didn't have any updated pictures of them. We are sure going to miss seeing her out there under that garage each day!! We were able to close out the summer with a trip to the water park with friends!! We are so thankful for the fun that we've had this summer and the amazing memories we made with family and friends!

July 4th Surprise!!

We went to Oxford to hang out on the farm with Hunt, Little Hunt, and Louise. The kids had a ball living the country life. They fished, swam in the pond, rode go carts, gators, and four wheelers, and they even shot fireworks. But the best part of the day was us surprising them with a puppy!! They have been asking for years and years to get a dog and I've said no! But I finally gave in and we got them a puppy. They named him Scout, and he is adorable. He is a mini australian shephard/german short-haired pointer mix. I may kill Aunt Scott for talking me into this...especially since he has wined and cried every night in the crate since we've had him. The kids are excited and so eager to be helpful in taking care of him. We will see how long it lasts! LOL!

Happy 6th Birthday, Kat!

My precious angel, Kat, turned 6 in the blink of an eye!! This girl is so happy and spirited and funny and loving. She has her moments but mostly she is loving life! She lost her very first tooth yesterday (the last day of being 5) and her 2nd tooth the morning of her birthday!! She was pumped that the tooth fairy was good to her! We started off the day by getting her ears pierced! That was her request and she did amazing!! She was thrilled to have a real birthday party with some of her friends. We had a swim party at Mrs. Sissy's pool and she had the best time. We got to see some old friends from daycare, new friends from school, and all of our neighborhood friends. We even had some of our "FRamily" friends show up and party as well. We celebrated with swimming, snacks, and a cake with her softball on it. She loved playing ball this year so we thought a softball themed cake was very appropriate. We even had a pinata, and boy did they love taking a swing at that! We are so thankful for this little caboose who brings so much joy to our world!

Baseball Tournaments are so much fun, even on Father's Day!

A very happy father's day to our favorite dad...he spent it on the field with Sam and the Titans in a tournament in Oxford. It was a great tournament and Sam played amazing, which was all the gift that Chet needed. We ended up losing out but we had a fun team celebration at the end of the game to celebrate our first year as a Tupelo Titan. We were excited that Mimi and Uncle Mark, Ady Rae, and Andrew were able to join in on some of the games! Sam has really enjoyed this year and learning the ins and out of baseball under the leadership of Coach Joe and Coach Bob. We are looking forward to more baseball and more memories with our baseball family!
Daddy and the kiddos on father's day!
