Easter Festivities!

We always enjoy all of the festivities leading up to Easter! We attend the Ash Wednesday service at church, then we follow that by Lent and the celebration of our Risen Lord. Our church always has a fun Easter Egg hunt at the park, and thankfully, the weather was beautiful! It was cool and windy, but the sun was shining bright and the kids had a blast hunting eggs! When we finished the egg hunt, we drove to Clarksdale to enjoy the rest of the weekend with Mimi and the rest of the family. We went to church at Clarksdale Baptist Church (my home church) and had Easter lunch at Aunt Karen's house. Jay's sweet mama, Nana, dyed eggs with the kids, and they all played outside! It was a fantastic weekend making memories with our family!

Blue Tie Affair

The Blue Tie affair is held each year to raise money for Colon Cancer. Chet made and donated some frames for the silent auction. We got to dress up and go out on a night away from the kids! It was a fun night hanging with friends!

Spring Break in Franklin/Nashville

This spring break, we took a few days away with the kids and stayed with The Davis family (Andrea, Adam, Hudson, and Hayden) in Franklin. Andrea had planned for a fun day in Nashville for us! We did a Scavenger hunt in downtown Nashville that was really fun and educational! Unfortunately, we were unable to finish because the kids were "bored and tired". We then ended up at Opry Mills Mall at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. The kids thought it was so fun to see the wax figures of all the stars. We finished the day off with some marble slab ice cream and delicious dinner from Adam!

The next day, Chet and I took our kids to see Antique Archaeology in Nashville. This store is a take-off from the show American Pickers, and Chet and Kendall are big fans of the show! It was a neat little place with some really cool items. We walked around in the arts district for a while and had lunch at a BBQ place. We then headed back to Franklin to join the Davis kids for an outdoor hiking adventure in the woods. The kids loved every minute of this trip and we are so glad we got to make memories with my childhood best friend!!

Happy 6th Birthday to Our Big Boy!

I know I say it every year, but I can't believe Sam is 6!!! We celebrated again at his favorite place...House of Bounce! We had a big birthday party and all of his buddies came to play! We got Sam a new electric scooter (his other one broke), and he was so excited about getting to ride it! He also got about $80 to save for something he wants to buy for himself! We had a great time, and we are so glad that all of our friends and family came to help us celebrate!

Poor Kathryn has a strawberry on her lip. She fell and busted it and she has a big boo-boo on her lip!

Sam wanted a baseball themed party!
