First Day of School
As much as we have enjoyed the summer, I think we are all looking forward to going back to school. The terrible news is that they will have to wear masks again (insert eye roll here...), but I am hoping that doesn't last long. WE are sick of Covid!! Anyway, Kendall is starting 7th grade at Tupelo Middle School, Sam is in 4th at Lawhon, and Kat is in 1st at Carver! We are praying protection over our kids, encouragement for our teachers, and healing for our country!!

"Framily" Vacation to Anna Maria Island
Another successful FRamily vacation in Anna Maria Island just ended! As always, we had a ball! We all headed down a day early and spend the night in Tampa. We got up and tackled Busch Gardens. The kids LOVED the roller coasters, but unfortunately, since Kat is small, she couldn't ride very much, and our family had to split up. There ended up being long lines in all of the big roller coasters so we didn't get to ride very much. It was an expensive day for the few coasters we got to ride, but the memories are SO worth it!! We then headed on to AMI! The Brands and Abrahams had a 3 story house together only a block away from the Beavers and the Kahlstorfs. We hated not all being together, but we couldn't find a house big enough for all 19 of us! We played on the beach, rode bikes, ate good, and we even rode the jet ski's this year. The red tide was in the ocean so we did see lots of dead fish this year (which is not a good look for the beach). We saw a few manatee, but not many this year, but we did find some amazing sea shells!! We always have such a great time with our friends, and this is a trip we look forward to each year!
Summer Days are So Fun!
Summer is one of my most favorite times of the year...it is always full of activities and outdoor fun. Kendall atteneded Camp Kanukuk this year for the very first time. She went with Morgan Mathis and Caroline Kahlstorf and she had so much fun! Along with all of the fun activities they do, they learn about Jesus and that is the most important aspect of the camp. It was in Branson, MO which was a beautiful location for the camp. I also got to enjoy my girls weekend at Moon Lake again this year. It always falls right around my birthday weekend, so we celebrated at Kathryn's restaurant on Friday night, along with fun in the sun and on the boat on Saturday! We laughed and giggled so much...it is just good for the soul! Sam enjoyed going to the Ole Miss baseball camp with some of the boys from the team for a week. They learned a lot and had a great time with the "famous rebel players". We spent lots of time at the pool, playing outdoors with cousins and friends, and fishing each day at the lake. Kat and Sam caught several fish, and they even learned to bait their own hooks! We spent a lot of time playing with Scout and letting him run out some energy. The kids are enjoying having him around (mom and dad not so much!!)...
Our sweet little neighbor Mrs Sue passed away in May. She was so sweet to the kids, almost like an adopted grandparent! She loved them so much. I had to include a picture of her with Sam and Kendall from several years ago since we didn't have any updated pictures of them. We are sure going to miss seeing her out there under that garage each day!!
We were able to close out the summer with a trip to the water park with friends!! We are so thankful for the fun that we've had this summer and the amazing memories we made with family and friends!
