Happy 9th Birthday To Our Favorite Son!!

Sam's 9th Birthday was Feb. 17. It fell directly in the middle of our snow week, so his birthday basically lasted all week long! We celebrated with all of our friends with an "impromptu party" at the Beavers. We sang and served him cookies with candles. We each went around and told one thing we loved about Sam. He was so embarrassed and teased of course, and I had tears in my eyes listening to all of our friends say such kind things about our precious boy! I'm just so thankful for the young man he is growing to be, and we just pray that God will continue to shape and mold him into a Godly man!

The weekend after Sam's birthday, we loaded up and went to Birmingham and spent the whole day. We started off at Top Golf, which was super fun! Everyone loved it and we are looking forward to returning there soon. We followed up with a trip to the mall where Sam picked out his favorite tennis shoes for his birthday. We ended the night at Urban Air Trampoline and event park. We jumped until we were exhausted. They also had race cars to drive, so we finished the night with a full on family race. I can't remember who won, but it was so much fun!

SNOW WEEK!!!!

We are shocked at the weather in Tupelo, MS and the surrounding areas! We never believed the forecast when it called for a "snow storm"! However, the weather delivered and our kids spent a whole week doing "virtual school", while pretending like we were in Colorado at the ski slopes! Unfortunately, I was stuck on my travel assignment in Helena, AR through Wednesday morning (it took me over 4 hours to make a 2.5 hr drive), but thankfully, Chet's work was closed from Tuesday-Friday in order for him to be off with the kids. When I got home on Wednesday morning, I slept a bit, and then we hit the town for some sledding and fun! Sam's birthday fell during this week, so it was like a week-long birthday party for him! We spent several days over at the Beavers and the Brands house. We played and sledded and rode the go-kart. We really enjoyed the time with family and friends and the memories made during this week!!

Such a fun week with all the kids and the daddies!!

Kat learned to "snowboard" on anything that resembled a snow board! She has it down pat and we can't wait to get her on the real slopes one day!!

It was snowing SO hard during this time! It was amazing!!

Catching snowflakes on our tongues!

We spent several days at Bellair golf club sledding all the hills! It was so much fun!!

Back to my roots!

Back in September of 2020, I took a leap of faith and went on a travel assingment. Luckily, it was kind of like going "home" since it was in my L/D unit in Clarksdale. I worked there through the 1st week of February, and I got to know some new faces and be reunited with some old friends! It was a fun experience and I'm so thankful for the opportunity I had to do it. It was also fun being with my mama every other week for several months. Anyway, I was sad to leave some of these friends, but am excited about my new opportunity in Helena!
