It's Been a Very Merry Christmas

This has been wonderful Christmas season. The kids built a gingerbread house (I don't think they every finished it before they actually started eating it)! We attended the Christmas Eve service and then went to our "Framily" tradition to the Beavers house along with the Brands, Kahlstorfs, Beavers, and Osbirns. We ate good food, played Christmas bingo, sang carols, reenacted the Christmas story (the adults played the parts this year), and sang the 12 days of Christmas. We always have such a great time making memories with our friends. On Christmas morning, the kids were up before the sun.....literally at 6:44am! We stumbled to see what Santa had brought and the kids were so excited! Kendall got loads of Lululemon clothes and a pair of GGDB shoes, Sam got a RC car, and Kat got a hoverboard and a Really Rad Robot! They loved all of their gifts. We then waited a couple of hours before we opened our gifts under the tree. It drove the kids crazy to have unopened gifts under the tree! Later in the afternoon, we headed to Clarksdale to celebrate Christmas with Scott, Billy, Taylor and Carson. Hunt and his kids surprised us by coming down and staying the night to play and visit. A fun (and wild time) was had by all! We then celebrated with Mimi and all the Stovall crew on Sunday. We ate ravioli, played bingo, dirty Santa, and enjoyed everyone's company. However, apparently someone had the "Gift that keeps on giving" and 9 of us ended up with Covid to finish out the year... Here's hoping for a better 2022!

Kendall's Christmas Piano Recital

Kendall participated in the Christmas piano recital and she did amazing!! I am so proud of the way that she performed. She has improved so much over the last 2 years! She has also done so well with her violin at school, and she is teaching herself to play the guitar as well! She is my little musical girl!!

Nutcracker Ballet Weekend 2021

Kendall finally got her chance to do something she has been wanting to do for the last 5 years...she danced in the Nutcracker. Not only did she dance, she danced on POINTE!! She was one of the chinese dancers, and we are so proud of all the hard work she put into making her performance great! I got to attend with Kathryn's first grade class, so I was able to sit with her and Lindy. Of course, Kat was bored to death during the 2nd performance when her and Sam came with us. Sam did help purchase her a nutcracker and some snacks so that kept her busy. We also went to Funky Cones to celebrate with some ice cream and a banana split. It was delicious! It was a super busy weekend, but we are thankful that Mimi got to be here and be a part of it all!
