This year, Kendall's birthday was on a Saturday, and I happened to be in Clarksdale working. So Chet and the kids loaded up and came to Mimi's house and we had a little celebration for Kendall with Mimi, Aunt Karen, and Cash. So we tricked Kendall a bit this year...she is so nosy (she gets it honestly!) so she figured out that we had been messing with her icloud account trying to get a phone set up. We told her that we just got her a SIM card for her current Iphone 6 so she could get a number. She was a little disappointed because she wanted a newer phone so bad. I told her she better be glad she was getting a phone number and had a phone to use. So, on her birthday, we wrapped the Sim card for her to open. I told her she had to act surprised. We put it in her old phone and "couldn't get it to work". So I called the actual phone number, and wrapped package started to ring. She opened it and found her new Iphone X and she was Shocked!!! She was so excited. And I was even more excited that we tricked her when she "thought" she knew what she was getting!She is growing and maturing into a sweet young lady and we are so thankful for another birthday celebration!!
She got a puzzle and some money from Cash, and some money from Mimi.
Of course, we got her some Macaroons since she doesn't really love birthday cake!

Since I've been travel nursing, we didn't have the opportunity to have Kendall a real birthday party, so I took her and Anne Frances to Oxford for some lunch, shopping and fun on the square, a visit to the nail salon for dip nails, and then a cookout at Uncle Marks for Annalyce's birthday! I enjoyed getting to spend some time with Kendall and her buddy!
