Moon Lake Fun!

Each Memorial Day weekend, we usually come to Clarksdale. While Chet plays in the Golf Tournament, we go out to Moon Lake with the Holders and The McCarras to enjoy some fun and sun on the lake! We went yesterday and the kids had a blast! They played in the "muddy" water and had so much fun on the lily pad that Tara had. Luckily, Kathryn took a nap in the chair for a while, giving mama a break to visit with friends! It was very eventful, from the "Water Police" to the Asian carp that jumped on the boat! We made some fun memories, and we always enjoy our time with our best buddies!

Awards Day!

We are winding down the school year (woohoo), and the kids both had awards day at school. Kendall received the STEM award, All A Honor Roll, PE Award, and my favorite, the Kindness award!! She has had a great year (once we got past 3rd grade math shock), but we are really looking forward to a fantastic summer!!

Sam had his awards day in conduction with their end of the year program. They did a cute little summer program with songs and hand motions. Each teacher presented awards to their class. Sam's teacher, Mrs Jones, came back from maternity leave to present awards to her class. They love her, but they've also really loved their substitute, Mrs. Word! Sam received the Best Handwriting award (which I find very comical!!). I'm so proud of the year that he has had in Kindergarten. It has been great!!

WE MADE IT!

We made it! Another year in the books, and we are so very thankful for the amazing year we've had in school. Sam has grown and matured so much this Kindergarten year at Carver. He has had wonderful teachers and educators that have poured into him and loved him! We are looking forward to another year at that precious school!

Kendall has also had a good year in 3rd grade at Lawhon. She, too, has had wonderful educators (maybe there was one that wasn't so awesome all the time)! 

We are definitely looking forward to a long, fun summer and some major relaxation!!

The Twins Big Day!

I can not believe that 18 years have come and gone since these 2 feisty girls entered our world! It's graduation time for Sydni and Maddi, and we were in Clarksdale to help them celebrate! They had lead out on Friday night and Graduation on Saturday. They looked absolutely gorgeous! We are so proud of them and their accomplishments! They both received full scholarships for softball at CCC. Sydni graduated with honors and "Best Dancer" and Maddi received "Best Eyes"! We love these 2 twinkies!!!

Mother's Day!

It's Mother's Day! A day of celebration for me! :) Being a mother is the best, but most difficult job, but I wouldn't trade it for anything! I love these precious kids, even though most days I want to beat them! Oops!! They are loving, kind, fun, and very active! Today, we actually made it to church on time, and then we had lunch at Old Venice with the Brands. And I even got a gift certificate for a massage/mani/pedi!! Mama sure does need some relaxation! It was a beautiful day and I'm so thankful  for my privilege as "Mama"!
