Thanksgiving Festivities in Clarksdale!

This year was the first year in several years that Chet wasn't on call for Thanksgiving, so we were able to travel to Clarksdale for the holiday! It was fun to catch up with some amazing high school friends who were also in town visiting family! We don't see each other as much as we would like to, so it's always fun to be able to meet up for dinner and some fun when we get the chance! We met up at the Ranch for dinner, and by the time we finished, we were all too tired (and old) to make it anywhere else!

Preston, Me, Haley, Tara, Jason, and Kellye C.

Tara and Me! We needed an updated picture!

Kellye lives in Jacksonville, FL, so we never get to see her! It was fun to visit with her and her girls, along with Haley and her girls for breakfast at Yazoo Pass on Saturday before everyone went back home! I had some pictures of the girls, but they were on my cell phone!

Thanksgiving day was celebrated at Aunt Karen's house with the whole family (minus Sydni and Maddi who were at their daddy's house and Lindsey who lives in Iowa)! We ate some good food and thankfully, the weather was amazing so the kids got to play outside and run off some energy! We always love to be with our family, but we sure do love it when the kids can play outside and the adults can have a quiet conversation! LOL! We were excited that Jon Mark and Sally were able to join us later in the afternoon since we never get to see him! We are always so thankful for the time we get to spend together and the memories made!

We got to go over and visit with Aunt Scott, Taylor and Carson during our stay in Clarksdale, too! Those 2 are so busy being "adults" with jobs and college, etc, so we never get to see them! The kids were so thankful to spend some time with their beloved cousins!!

Taylor, Carson, Kathryn, Sam, and Kendall!

I took the kids to the movie to see The Star over Thanksgiving break. The movie was fantastic and we even got to sit in the new recliners with seat warmers! We love going to the movie!!

The day we got to Clarksdale, we went to the beauty shop to see Mimi and the girls got their fingernails painted. Kathryn got blue of course!!

On Saturday morning after Thanksgiving, the girls and I met up with Haley and her girls and Kellye and her girls at Yazoo Pass. We ate breakfast and let the kids get to know each other a little bit. The mamas really enjoyed our time together and the little girls ended up talking and having a great time!

The kids favorite thing to do is go to Aunt Scott's house. This time, they had a huge dirt pile on the golf course, and this was hours of entertainment for the kids during the day and night! Kathryn is still talking about that dirt pile!!

Thanksgiving Programs at School

On the same day, Kathryn and Sam both had Thanksgiving festivities at their schools. I went to the daycare to enjoy lunch with Kathryn's class. They performed a Thanksgiving prayer prior to eating, which was absolutely adorable. She did so well and really performed her little heart out!

My silly little turkey!

Sam's class performed their Kindergarten Pow-Wow. They performed songs and dances, and once again, they all did so well! We love his school and how they integrate the arts into all of their programs. He is really enjoying school, and for that I am SO thankful!
