Sam's 4th Birthday party was held on Saturday, Feb 13, even though his actual birthday isn't until Feb. 17. He had a Monster Truck birthday party at the House of Bounce in Saltillo. He was so excited that several of his school and church friends were able to come, but we were even more excited to have our whole family here to celebrate as well (minus Lindsey and Jon Mark)! We had a fantastic time at the party! Uncle Mark and his crew, along with Mimi and the twins stayed the weekend with us to celebrate!
He loved his Monster truck birthday cake!

Today is Sam's actual birthday!! February 17! We celebrated by letting him open his 2 presents from us!
Daddy, Sam, and Kendall building the bird house that came along with Sam's big tool kit. He wants to be just like daddy when he grows up!!
Brother Bear was so excited about his Dino Trux. This is one of his favorite shows right now!!
Sweet Sister is loving celebrating Brother's birthday!!
Look at those 2 teeth! So precious!
Here is Sam's birthday party at his school...we celebrated all week long! We made homemade cupcakes for his friends at school. Here he is getting all teased while they sang happy birthday to him!
The day after Sam's birthday, he fell asleep in the middle of the afternoon. I just thought he was super exhausted from all of the birthday celebrations...
However, he woke up at 2:15 am the next morning with a raging fever and feeling awful. I took him to the Dr. and he was diagnosed with the FLU! Poor baby boy...he felt terrible! He was so pitiful and I felt so sorry for him. Luckily, he was able to bounce back after a day or 2 and he was much better. No one else in the family got it, thankfully!!
Bless his heart...he was feeling terrible with high fever!
Here we are on the way to the doctor and then once we got to the doctor. He was so pitiful!
Thankfully, Aunt Scott sent him a birthday treat in the mail, and it perked him up for a few minutes!! He loved his star wars tent and sleeping bag!
Poor baby...his fever hit again and he was napping on the porch swing! The weather was beautiful, so it allowed for a really good nap on the swing!
For Sam's birthday, we had gotten him tickets to see the Monster Truck show with daddy. He was so sick that he wasn't able to go... So daddy took Kendall, and Poor Sam had to stay home with mommy and Kathryn! We had a good time, though, snuggling in the bed, but I know he missed seeing those BIG monster trucks!! Maybe next time he will be able to see them! All in all, this big boy had the best birthday week (minus the flu). We are so thankful for him and for all the lively joy he brings to our household!
