Kathryn is 3 Months Old!

This precious angel is 3 months old!! I just can't believe it--time is flying by so quickly! She is such a joy and blessing to our family! I have to say that this 3rd baby has been super easy, and for that I am thankful! She sleeps all night long (and has for many weeks now!!), she puts herself to sleep, and absolutely is so content most all of the time! She has found her fingers now, and that makes for one very happy and satisfied baby! She smile and laughs all the time, and she never cries! We love her so much, and we are so thankful that God gave her to us!

Baby girl loves to suck her fingers!

The happiest 3 month old in the world!

This is how she likes to suck her fingers...with her other hand up over her face! She truly is the
"Best Baby Sister"!

Mimi's weekend in Tupelo

We had a fun, eventful weekend this past weekend! Mimi came on Friday and was able to attend the Grandparent's Day program and Book Fair at Kendall's school. Kendall was so excited that Mimi was able to come! We checked her out of school early and took her to eat lunch.

After dinner on Friday night, we took the whole family to Crave to eat dessert. It was absolutely delicious (as always). Coffee and a skillet cookie with ice cream is the perfect way to end the night!

On Saturday, we took the kids to the "Touch-a-Truck" event at Ballard Park. It was perfect weather to enjoy a day outside. The kids loved it, especially Sam. There were so many big trucks and loud sirens. The first visit was to the ambulance. Sam was a little hesitant about getting up in there, but once Kendall did, he wasn't scared at all!

They wanted to see a real "Policewoman" and listen to her loud siren!

Fun on the Firetruck!

I love this facial expression! He's up to no-good!

They were excited to ride in the tall "ride" from busy lad!

Sam loved the horn on the Garbage truck. It was his favorite truck out there. I hope this isn't an indication of his future profession!

Mimi and Kathryn. It was so loud out there, but she loved it!

Kendall and Sam with Mr. Denny scooping up dirt! Sam wasn't real sure about it, but he had fun anyway!

Eating snow cones on the soccer field! We played frisbee and just let the kids run. It was a beautiful day!

Oh My!! I hope this never happens for real!

Chet and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary a little early over the weekend since Mimi was here to keep the kids. We went to the movie to see "War Room", and it was fantastic! We then went to dinner at Homer's steak house, and stayed the night at the Courtyard Marriott. It was a very nice and relaxing evening, and we were able to enjoy being in some peace and quiet! :)
We slept late the next morning and then went to lunch at Longhorns before returning home to see the kids and relieve Mimi from her "grandmother duties"! We were so thankful to get some time alone! These days, it doesn't happen too often!

It also happened to be grandparents day on Sunday, so we were so thankful that Mimi was able to come spend the weekend with us to love on these precious kids! We don't know what we would do without her!

Daddy's big 47th birthday!

Daddy turned 47 on September 8, so we celebrated by making him a homemade, kid-decorated birthday cake. It tasted delicious! The kids were super excited about licking the icing off the cake! We are so thankful for daddy--he is such a hard worker, family supporter, super-fun daddy and sweet husband! We are blessed!

We let daddy have his turn at being the "Boss", but only on his birthday! :)

September Snapshots!!

The first few days of September were spent loving on these kiddos prior to returning to work! Kathryn and I did a lot of swinging on the porch swing trying to soak up those last bit of snuggles!

Oh Sam...there are no words for his "style". He is very opinionated about what he wears, so I don't even fight the battles anymore. So, it was about 90 degrees and he wanted to wear his coat and toboggan with his shorts. He was happy and there was no changing his mind, so I let him do it. The teachers at school are used to his crazy style so they are never surprised by what he has on! The next day, he wore his thick winter mittens along with his outfit! I've decided that if it gets him to school in the mornings without a fight, it's going to be fine!

I love this sweet girls smile!

Cheering on the Rebels with a "hotty toddy"!

A boy in his boots and his truck!

This sweet angel baby sleeps so snuggly and cozy in her swaddle blanket and her rock and play. This has been such a life saver for us...it has helped her sleep for hours and hours, so thankfully, we've been sleeping well for quite some time now!

Baby girl loves her baths!

Look how big she is in her bumbo seat!
