Fun at Mimi's!

We went to Clarksdale this past weekend to visit and play with all of our family! The kids had a great time, especially when they got to play with Cash. JayJay took them to a field to pick soybeans (Edamame), and Kendall was SO excited about it. She basically drove me bonkers until I cooked them, and she ate every last one of them! We played at Aunt Karen's, and Sam had a big time digging in the dirt and playing with Cash's dump trucks! We always love being with our family and making memories!

Summer Fun!

So, as we have wrapped up the summer and my maternity leave is almost over, I've truly enjoyed spending some time with these kiddos! Kendall has already started school, so I've had some good time with Sam and Kathryn. We've been spending our mornings playing outside, swinging on my new porch swing, and just hanging out and enjoying life! I am so thankful for this time with them, as I am already realizing how quickly it passes!

We had "family dinner" night at our house with the Brands and the Beavers. The kids had a blast playing and the adults had a great time catching up, too!

The mornings have been cool so Kathryn and I have been enjoying the weather with some swinging and listening to Pandora Christian Radio. It has become our new morning routine! She usually always goes to sleep so I get some sweet snuggle time with her!

This precious angel baby is 2 months old! Time is passing so quickly...I know I say it every month, but I wish it would slow down a little! Our sweet Kathryn is smiling all the time and so happy. She is the best baby I've ever seen. She sleeps all night long and just goes with the flow of life! We went for our 8 week check up and shots and she did so good!

After church, we decided to snap some photos! She is so precious in Kendall's little dresses and bonnets when she was little!

Kathryn got to join mommy on a girls outing to Mrs. Aletha's baby shower! She was the hit of the shower for sure!

Kathryn is 6 Weeks Old

Sweet Kathryn is 6 weeks old! Time seems to be passing so quickly now that Kendall is back in school. I'm enjoying getting to spend some time with Kathryn while the big kids are at school/daycare! This baby is so easy, and I'm so thankful for that!

 

This is how you give 3 kids a bath when daddy isn't home! Throw them all in the tub together and hopefully no one drowns!

Kendall is a sweet big sister and a good helper (most of the time). She loves to hold Kathryn and Kathryn loves to snuggle up and fall asleep too!

This is one of my most favorite things in my house...This is the huge picture that daddy ordered from Kathryn's newborn pictures. I thought he was crazy for spending all that money on it, but I'm so thankful he did!!! He made a beautiful frame for it and now it hangs above my couch for everyone to see. This picture says it all--our precious blessings from God!

Another of daddy's creations...He built the frame for the precious picture of Kathryn, and he also built my door hanger. Now, I put the bows on it and did the writing, so I guess you can say it was a "group" effort! I'm so thankful that Chet is so handy!

My First Baby is off to First Grade!

I can't believe that Kendall is in the 1st Grade! She was super excited about going back to Carver Elementary this year as the "big kid" in the school since she was there last year as a kindergartener. We met her teacher Miss Lambert the day before school and she is super sweet. Kendall has some sweet girls in her class (Maggie Benjamin and Sanders Beall), so she was excited about starting school! Thankfully, that excitement made for a very smooth first day of school! I dropped her off and she walked in all by herself. She didn't need mama to walk her in! I was proud of her for being so big! I am praying for a great year for Kendall and all of the teachers and students. I'm excited about the year to come!

First Day of First Grade

We shopped all over Tupelo trying to find the perfect back pack. FINALLY, she found it at the Corner Shoe Store! 

She's heading in by herself!! She is such a big girl! All smiles!
