Storm Damage

While we were gone to Dallas, there was a bad storm that blew through Tupelo causing one of the large pine trees behind our house to fall. It crushed a portion of the fence, along with swing set, and the front gate. By the grace of God, it barely missed the side of our house! Thankfully, it was minor damage and we could rest easy knowing that the house was okay. Anyway, Chet and I were able to repair the fence on our own, and we got an iron gate to replace the wooden gate. Our hope is to get a new swing set in the upcoming year to replace the broken one!

Chet and I replaced the fence on our own, but the kids were very "helpful" in making sure that daddy did it right!

Advocare Success School

Chet and I went to Advocare Success School in Dallas, TX, and we were also a part of the leadership team and were invited to attend the leadership party at the Fort Worth Zoo. We had a great time during that weekend, but of course, it was exhausting but so beneficial! The Mims and The Parrotts were also there, so it was fun getting to hang with them! We enjoyed our little mini "work-vacation", and we were thankful for Mimi stepping in to take care of the kids while we were away!

One of the best parts of the weekend was getting to enjoy Sunday worship with Michael W. Smith! He was amazing and it was such a blessed time!

First Day of Kindergarten!

Where in the world has the time gone? My first baby has gone to kindergarten, and it seems like just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital as a little bitty baby girl! She is in kindergarten at Carver Elementary and Mrs. Sandy Corkern is her teacher! Drop off went very smoothly, and neither of us cried any tears! We are looking forward to an exciting year full of learning and excitement!

Here she is--My big 5 year old kindergartner!

Precious girl...she was all smiles!

Look how big she is walking in with her backpack!

Super excited about her classroom!
