School is F-U-N!

Kendall is really adjusting well to school. She is learning so much and has made lots of new friends. She isn't a big fan of riding the school bus, but she is adjusting! Anyway, the month of September has been so fun for them. They've had several fun activities, projects, parent days, etc. One specific activity was the St. Jude Trike-a-Thon. They raised money for the kids at St. Jude by collecting money and riding the tricycles around the circle several times. They had so much fun riding, but I think the class had a better time cheering on their teammates! Here are few pictures from the day!

"Shew, I'm tired!"

She was super fast riding that yellow bike!

Her new friend, Maggie Benjamin!

Another new friend, Cas Stegall

One of her best buddies, Riley Swinney!

Cheering on the rest of her class while they finished riding their trikes!

Another fun activity that we had to do as a family was go on a nature hunt to find different things that represent "Fall". We all nature-hunted in the backyard, but then Kendall and daddy went on a real nature hunt in the woods! She found some pine cones, pine needles, different color leaves, mums, acorns, etc. It was a fun school/family activity!

"Touch-a-Truck"

We went to Fairpark today to enjoy the beautiful weather and to take the kids to the "Touch-a-truck" event. The city puts this event on and they had all sorts of trucks, police cars, helipcopters, bulldozing equipment, etc. We knew Sam would love it because he is obsessed with trucks! Anyway, we had a great time seeing all of the community helpers, eating hot dogs, and playing on the bouncy slides. We only got a few pictures before the battery went dead. It was a beautiful weekend to enjoy all of the activities!
Last night, we went to Ballard Park to the TCPS Balloon Fest. It was a great night to enjoy seeing the one and only hot air balloon that they had inflated (it was windy). We also enjoyed watching the Elvis tribute band--Sam loved dancing to all the great music. We played some of the games and got some homemade ice cream! It's been a fantastic weekend for outdoor activities! Fall is definitely in the air!

Hotty Toddy--Go Rebels (and Happy Birthday, Daddy)!

We celebrated daddy's birthday weekend by heading over to the first home Ole Miss game. We had lots of fun hanging in the grove with the Davis'. We also met Aunt Scott and Mr. Billy at the game. The kids had a great time, but Sam was super busy climbing the stadium seats at the game. By halftime, we were very hot and very tired, so we headed back home.

My precious family! So beautiful!

Sam's New Toy!

Look what Sam has!! This is what happens when I leave daddy and Sam together for a few hours one afternoon! I came home to daddy putting together Sam's new gator! He absolutely loves it, but I think sister loves it more! He's got some learning to do on how to drive and steer, but I think sister will be a good teacher!
